The new store has a food court setup and has so far logged an average daily sales of 3,600 AED or about P43K.
During the opening, complimentary Halo-Halo was served to the staff of the food court restaurants in the area, as well as to the operations heads of the mall, the management's way of announcing its presence and of sharing its best-selling product with its neighbors.

Chowking Celebrates Chinese New Year with Customers

THE CHOWKING Grand Fireworks is a yearly offering of Chowking to its valued patrons on Chinese New Year. This promotes the brand by radio and local cable advertisements, live mall announcements, posters, standees, roving billboards, banners, streamers, and such. On its third year now, the event entitled "Salo-Salong Saya sa Chowking Grand Fireworks at Free Concert" was held on February 9 at five different locations simultaneously. Namely: Lacson Stree, Bacolod; Bulacan State Univeristy, Malolos Bulacan; SM City Lucena, Quezon; Nepo Commercial Complex, Angeles, Pampanga; and Constancio National High School, San Jose, Nueva Ecija.
The public got the chance to see the biggest bands - Kamikaze, Spongecola and Rivermaya, to name a few - and the most hilarious stand-up comedians today. There are also games for the crowd, and raffle draw of novelty items and brand new Nokia 5300 mobile phones, courtesy of Coca-Cola.
SUKI OF THE MONTH

Chowking is the first name that comes to mind when S'Ferdie, 30, and M'Lhorjy Lasan, 28, discuss what they'll have for dinner. They both work fulltime; he is a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors, while she is an IT Specialist for IBM and both are also taking up their MBA degree at UP Diliman. Married for three years already, the young couple routinely goes to Chowking for comfort food.
S'Ferdie is the original Chowking fan. His love for Chowking goes all the way back to his bachelor days. When he and M'Lhorjy got married, she became a suki as well since S'Ferdie would always insist on eating at Chowking. Their routine revolves around work, school, and of course, Chowking! They usually visit Chowking Pasig Kapitolyo, the nearest branch to their home, four times a week!
"We are always on the go. We don't have the luxury of time to prepare our meals so we turn to Chowking and its wide variety of dishes. There are so many to choose from and we don't experience the sawa factor with Chowking," says M'Lhorjy.
M'Lhorjy likes our Lomi while S'Ferdie's favorite is Wanton Noodles. Both can't eat without Chowking's Pork Siomai, Black Gulaman, and Halo-Halo.
The couple is very health conscious. S'Ferdie faithfully keeps his regular gym schedule and since M'Lhorjy is five months pregnant with their second child, she is also keen about keeping away from fatty food.
"With Chowking, there are options for those who are trying to lead a healthy lifestyle like us. You have vegetables and fish, and we're all for it! It's good for us and even better for the baby," says S'Ferdie.
In fact, aside from their regular dinner date at Chowking, M'Lhorjy also dines in at Chowking Eastwood for lunch with friends.
"I like Chowking because I can feel that I am having a real meal. It's real kanin, ulam, and soup, very much like a meal at home. Chowking is really the best!" M'Lhorjy sums up.

SUKI OF THE MONTH:
Chowking Paco's Barkada of Moms
EVERY DAY, a group of sukis would be seen at Chowking Paco, giggling, sharing stories over breakfast, and just having fun. M'Mhel, M'She, M'Aida, M'D, M'Jovelyn, and M'Cora call themselves the "Liga ng Kagandahan (LNK)," and they are Chowking Paco's resident barkada since the store opened in 2004.
Their kids are all in Grade 6 and have been schoolmates since first grade. After dropping their kids off at Paco Catholic School, the moms would immediately meet up at the store for breakfast.
"It was fun seeing them every morning. Happy sukis like them make our work easier that's why we don't treat them as customers but part of our Chowking family," said M'Eliz, Chowking Paco's Store Manager.
The moms are so into seeing each other often that they would still meet up during school break for a trip at the mall or a simple kita-kita at Chowking. They are crazy about Almuchao, Lomi, and Lauriat meals.
"We like Chowking because your dishes are talagang nakaka-busog! There's so much to choose from and very sulit pa!" said M' Mhel. In fact, M'Cora, the only working mom in the group, recently celebrated her birthday at Chowking and treated her barkada with Salo-Salo meal sets.
Chowking Paco also invited all of their regular customers for their anniversary and LNK Barkada was the first on their list. "We had breakfast with the whole Chowking Paco team last October 3, along with the other sukis. They prepared a program and presented a dance number. We even got to meet Ms. Nikoy de Guzman, their franchisee! It really made us feel important as customers. Wala talagang papalit sa Chowking para sa amin." says M'She.

Chowking Joins Panagbenga 2007
As the thousand-day countdown to the Centenary of Baguio City fires off, Chowking joins the entire city community in a celebration of the ideas and ideals, dreams and toil that have held its people together as a cohesive whole for a hundred years.
The theme: "Unity Towards the Centenary . . . Let a Thousand Days Bloom" finds concrete expression in the Chowking float depicting a fairyland inhabited by playful fairies having the time of their lives.
It is an invitation to come enjoy the beauty the city alone holds in its bosom -the intoxicating scents of flower and pine, the feel of the crisp mountain air, the winding roads that lead the visitor from one magical moment to another- giving form to the unmatched charm and splendor that have held friends and strangers in the city's embrace for a hundred years.
